They’re also known for offering guarantees rather than warranties, and for the length of cover available on their higher specification models when the boiler is fitted by an accredited installer.
What is a Worcester Accredited Installer?
A Worcester Accredited Installer is an independent heating engineer or company that Worcester Bosch has formally recognised for the quality of their workmanship and the standard of service they provide.
Accreditation isn’t something you apply for once and keep. Engineers have to hold the relevant certifications, including Gas Safe registration and OFTEC certification for oil work, complete regular training directly with Worcester Bosch, and maintain standards through ongoing assessment.
In practice it means Worcester Bosch is willing to put their name behind the installer, which is not something they do lightly.

Keeping your Worcester guarantee valid
This is the part people most often get caught out by. A long guarantee isn’t automatic, and it isn’t guaranteed by buying the boiler alone. It typically depends on three things:
- The boiler being installed by an accredited installer
- The boiler being registered with Worcester Bosch within 30 days of installation
- The boiler being serviced every year afterwards by a qualified engineer

Do I have to use an accredited installer for a Worcester boiler?
No. Any Gas Safe registered engineer can legally install a Worcester Bosch boiler. But you won’t get the extended guarantee, which for most people is the main reason to choose one.
