The clients, Mr and Mrs D, from a small village on the outskirts of Fordingbridge first got in contact with us through checkatrade.
They were after a quotation for extensive central heating works, having just moved into the property two months previously. The system, radiators and boiler were all very dated and in great need of refurbishment.
This was advised to be the case for several reasons:
After some consultations and email correspondence, it was agreed that a new ERP Worcester Bosch Combi Boiler, new convector style radiators, thermostatic controls and radiator valves be fitted in the property. As per the manufacturer’s instructions, it is highly recommended that the central heating system be power flushed of all magnetite and corrosive debris before the installation of a new Worcester boiler.
Mrs D had a combi boiler in the past in a previous property that had either not been installed correctly or was undersized for the scale of the property, which left her very unsure that a combo boiler would be right for her in this new property.
The pros and cons of this system as well as others available were explained in detail to Mr and Mrs D, and we were able to address all of their concerns and they accepted all of our recommendations.
Further maintenance carried out to the property at the same time as the central heating conversion work were the installation and replacement of the water mains supply pipe to ensure much improved water mains pressure and flow.
The original water main was an iron half inch supply pipe. Over the course of time, this supply pope had become corroded and the integrity had been compromised. It was decided between Mr and Mrs D and ourselves that the best course of action would be to replace the water minas supply pipe, which would compliment the extensive heating works.
The overall result of all undertaken works was a dramatic improvement; the customers were left with far greater cold and hot water pressure, as well as a far more efficient and reliable central heating system, complete with a 10-year Worcester Bosch parts and labour guarantee.
"Max started the work on the date promised and finished within the time he'd set. Both prior to and during the installation, he kept me fully informed as to the progress and was entirely flexible when I requested additional work, providing a review quotation within a few hours. Work was to a high standard throughout and exactly as per his detailed estimate. Despite the potential for disruption, Max ensure that, at the end of every working day, the property was as tidy as he had found it. On completion of th eowrk, Max provided me with a detailed description of the system. In summary, excellent!"
